Storm’s Premier Line continues to be the most successful high performance line of equipment on the market. From the original El Nino and its split density technology to the Paradigm and X-Factor series with its multi-disc technology and now the performance proven Virtual series, we continue to push the limit of technology and innovation. The Invasion features the next generation of advancement in core and coverstock technology. Our first goal was to develop a strong asymmetrical design different than any other. The concept was to create contours along the RG planes to ensure a stronger preferred spin axis. We did this by developing intersecting contoured bands from the X-axis along the Y and Z axes. These bands are developed at specific arcs to maximize RG and differential values along the planes. In turn, this translates into a quicker revving core with a more defined moment of inertia or breakpoint unlike any prior design found on the market. The all new Origin core boasts a 2.48 RG value with .057 total differential and a .017 intermediate differential. Using C.A.T.S., we tested the Origin core up against the Shape Lock-HD core with same coverstock to see the differences, and we were amazed by the results. The Origin core started into the “hook” phase about 3 feet sooner and created a stronger entry angle to the pocket. Usually when we get the ball started into the “hook” phase sooner we see less entry angle to the pocket, but this core with the contoured bands along the RG planes definitely showed us something different. The finishing touch to the Invasion is the R3X coverstock. This third generation of Reactor series coverstock has the highest Ra values ever produced by Storm products. Based on the USBC Ball Motion Study we know that higher Ra values produce more ball motion in the oil, and this coverstock is no exception. We saw a 9% increase in friction values in the oil and an increase of 5% down the lane over its predecessor R2X utilizing C.A.T.S. testing.Coverstock: R3X Solid ReactiveWeight Block: OriginFactory Finish: 4000-grit AbralonBall Color: Violet/Crimson/SapphireDurometer: 73-75 Rex D-scaleFlare Potential: 6” Plus (High)Fragrance: Mulberry

Comments about Storm Bowling Products Storm Invasion Bowling Ball:

The product works as I imagined it would plus it has a wonderful fruity scent that is a bonus. I had it drilled for max hook and it works awesome. I have very good control of it and when the house lanes break down quicky, I can simply move left and adjust my speed to keep it in the pocket. It gets nice carry through the backend as well. Very pleased with the invasion even though it isn't the newest product out there.

When the Invasion came out, I told a friend of mine that it sounded like a good ball to have. He bought one but didn't like it. He passed it on to me and I had it redrilled. Outcome: Great ball! Hits hard and (knock on wood) less 7 pins.

Comments about Storm Bowling Products Storm Invasion Bowling Ball:

I was really looking for a new ball that was supposed to have a lot of hook potential and able to drive the pins off the deck. So I read the Storm reviews on this ball and decided to get it. I started using it and at first I was P.O. because I spent all this money and it wasn't doing anything that I expected. I put it back in my bag for 6 months and didn't give it a second glance. Then I decided that I didn't want to waste the ball and decided to get it drilled to the same specs as my older ball. Well as it turns out the thumb on the Invasion was mis-drilled and was the source of all my problems. I got the thumb plugged and re-drilled and I haven't look back, it is defintely a power load and a force to be reckoned with. In fact I shot my first 700 with this ball and I expect great things in the future.
