Comments about Hammer Bowling Products Hammer Black Widow Pearl:

Bio: 17 years bowling, 215-225 average, 1 300, 2 800's.

This ball is a compliment to my AMF Mega Friction. I throw 14 lb equipment. I go to this ball when I experience carrydown and my Mega Friction begins to leave weak 10 pins. The Black Widow Pearl reacts strongly to the "wall" on my THS pattern, or what one would call a "skid/flip" reaction. I get the same hitting power as with my Mega Friction, with some additional length. If the backends are too strong, however, this ball (as with most aggressive ones) will tend to leave a lot of 9 pins, so paying attention is vital. Overall, one of the best pearl coverstocks and balls on the market today.

Practice makes perfect! It takes a while to figure out where to stand and what mark to hit, but once you do--you've got it made! Of course you have to be consistent and that's where the practice comes in.
